WEST PLAINS, Mo. (KY3) - Police arrested a woman for homicide on Wednesday night.

Officers say they heard gunshots in the area of Columbus Drive around 9:20 p.m. and immediately responded.

They found a man shot dead on a porch.

According to the West Plains Police Department, it started at another home, where a woman shot the man.

He then ran away to another house, but the woman followed him, shooting him several more times.

She was arrested for first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Police say there is no more threat to the community.

Police have not released the names of those involved yet, as they notify relatives.
