A young Texas mother has finally been brought into custody after she allegedly left her infant child at home unsupervised, while she went on a date 150 miles away.

Reese Louise Myers, 25, was charged with abandoning or endangering a child. She was caught Nov. 5 in California's San Bernadino County after fleeing Texas due to the warrant out for her arrest, reported KWTX.

Myers, who hails from Kileen, Texas, allegedly left her 16-month-old son home alone, unsupervised, while she went on a date 150 miles from her home in San Antonio with a man she met on the dating app Hinge in July.

Police arrived at Myers' house on July 28 after receiving reports of a young child dangling out of a partially broken, ground-floor window. A dog was attempting to attack the child, as well as charging at residents attempting to save the child.

Officers reportedly found Myers' young son stuck in a window reinforced with cardboard and plexiglass. The boy was said to be wearing only a shirt and was covered in feces.

There were reportedly no other people in the apartment, only two dogs who were protective of the child. The child was then taken to an area hospital for examination, and into the custody of Child Protective Services.

On Monday, Myers was booked into the Bell County Jail on a bond of $25,000.
