Ryan Day Gives Mic-Drop Response When Pat McAfee Tells Him Indiana is “The Real Deal”: “So Are We”

Ryan Day sent a message to Indiana on Friday.

Before the No. 2 Buckeyes face off with the No. 5 Hoosiers on Saturday, the Ohio State head coach appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to discuss his expectations for the top-five matchup and the rest of the Buckeyes' 2024 season.

"Every year when you come to Ohio State, you want to win it all. You have certain goals that you set. The guys that want to be here, you have to understand you're here to win every single game. That's the way it goes. That's the way you want it in life. You don't want it any other way," Day told McAfee and former Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk. "I had this article I read (that said), 'Some people wrestle alligators, some people chew on razor blades, some people want to go to Ohio State and play football.' That's what they want to do. They want to be in the tiger's den.

"That's what tomorrow is gonna be like. This crowd is gonna come in tomorrow and have that edge about them. This is a top-five matchup. This is our third top-five matchup this year. We got this one at home. This crowd is gonna be fired up."

To end his appearance, Day provided some fuel for the crowd's fire.

"Coach, thanks so much for making time for us," McAfee said. "Good luck tomorrow. This Hoosiers team is the real deal."

Day's response?

"So are we."
