SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) — Today, There are so many different types of countertops. You need to know what type you have before cleaning it.
How to:
GRANITE
- Add one tablespoon of flour and hydrogen peroxide. Add a few squirts of the mix.
- Mix both on the stain, push down, and let sit.
- Wipe clean with a paper towel or microfiber cloth dipped in water. If the Stain is still present, use rubbing alcohol and extra-fine steel wool.
Optional cleaner: Mix 1/8 cup of Rubbing Alcohol or Vodka with water into a bottle. Spray and wipe. IMPORTANT: Use a granite sealer on granite at least once a year.
MARBLE
- Mix baking soda & dish soap and, work it in, and let it sit.
- Place plastic wrap over the stain. Push down and let sit overnight.
- Wash off and buff day the next day. Optional cleaner: Mix 1/8 cup of rubbing alcohol or vodka with water into a bottle. Spray and wipe.
QUARTZ
- Liquid Dish soap and water on any cloth. Wipe clean.
