TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – A pretrial conference is scheduled for this morning for the man accused of leaving his two-year-old daughter in a hot car.
Christopher Scholtes faces charges of first-degree murder and child abuse.
According to investigators, the child was reportedly left in the car for three hours at Scholtes' Marana residence. Scholtes has remained out of custody since he was initially charged and later released from jail without having to pay bond.
The pretrial conference is set to take place at Superior Court, beginning at 9 a.m.
