Hastings police apprehended a juvenile suspect who allegedly rammed cruisers with a skid loader, leading to an officer discharging his service weapon, authorities said.Around 8 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to reports of a skid loader driving on North Elm Avenue, Hastings police said. Officers located the skid loader and attempted to contact the person in the vehicle, but they began using the skid loader to ram the police cruisers, authorities said.Hastings police said the person in the skid loader damaged three occupied cruisers before continuing to travel south. During the incident, an officer discharged their weapon, and the driver of the skid loader was not hit.Authorities said the driver continued to evade officers before coming to a stop.
