The moment an irate man smashed the driver's side mirror during a road rage fit in London was captured on terrifying video footage.
A 25-year-old woman was driving alone in the fast lane near Hendon Central Station on Sunday morning when she refused to let a car into the lane in front of her - leading the driver to repeatedly flash his lights after he merged on to the roadway behind her.
But when they stopped at a red light, he was suddenly right at her window - hitting it.
'I was in shock and I pushed my body back as far away as possible,' the driver, who wished to remain anonymous, said. 'I then started scrambling looking for my phone and started recording the end.'
The frightening footage showed a man in a leather jacket, sunglasses and a cap palming her window with aggressive force before kicking her side mirror.
He was then captured palming his hands together and loading up before smashing down on the side mirror again - ultimately breaking it - and glancing in her window once more before walking away.
'I was fearful of my life and safety,' she added. 'I didn't care about my car but I was scared that at any moment the glass was going to break and he was going to break my face. I felt threatened and helpless. Absolutely terrified to drive my car in the area now.'
The horrified young woman drove straight to a police station and filed a claim after the abrupt encounter - which she said no one stopped to intervene or help in any way - as the man ultimately fled the scene.
