Drunk driver demands to be taken to jail: Brecksville Police Blotter

BRECKSVILLE, Ohio

Drunken driving, SR-82: On Nov. 1, police observed a weaving white Lincoln with its high beams on traveling eastbound on SR-82.

The officer asked the Cleveland driver why he was crossing the double yellow center line.

The man replied, “I’m just trying to get home, man.”

The driver, who smelled like booze and admitted to being at a bar, thought he was on Warrensville Center Road.

When asked what he was doing at the bar, the driver said, “Partying and meeting girls.”

He admitted to having two double drinks but didn’t have his driver’s license.

That’s when the man put his hands through the sunroof and said he didn’t want any trouble.

It turned out the driver not only had a suspended license but also two warrants.

He was arrested and held for transport.

However, beforehand, the man failed to finish a field sobriety test, becoming irate and demanding the police take him to jail.

He was also cited for weaving and driving in marked lanes.
