LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A man driving a Jeep with the missing front passenger tire, allegedly refused to pull over for Elyria police Friday.
Elyria police said they spotted the driver, later identified as Larry James Fisher, 55, of Lorain, driving slow on SR 57, while weaving in and out of marked lanes.
According to police, Fisher led officers on a slow speed pursuit for over two miles, before finally stopping on SR 57 at SR 254.
Fisher is charged with OVI, driving under suspension, failure to comply, unsafe motor vehicle, and reckless operation.
He was taken to the Lorain County Jail.
“The officers involved in this pursuit should be commended for not only arresting Fisher, but safely preventing any injuries or property damage caused by the impaired driver,” said Elyria Police Captain James Welsh.
