A Lee County woman was killed when she was hit by an SUV.
Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as Angel M. Elliot. She was 43 and lived in Cusseta.
The wreck happened at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 29, about six miles south of Valley, troopers announced Friday.
Elliott was in the road when she was hit by a BMW X5 driven by 58-year-old John L. Webb of Valley.
She was pronounced dead on the scene.
